Checklist 2.0 provides peer-reviewed auditing framework to identify risks that emerge due to the usages of VMWare within the data centre and help provide audit assurance. There are many current initiatives and changes to the way IT is managed by businesses, including service orientation, data centre consolidation, virtualization and automation using VMware technologies. Without clear audit strategies supported by expert contributed practices and authoritative resources, we believe it will be hard for virtual and shared data centres to be adopted for critical business applications.
